Le support est utilisé pour équilibrer les cartouches de turbocompresseur à faible vitesse et pour vérifier l'absence de fuites d'huile sur le turbocompresseur assemblé.
Le grand diamètre de l'arbre de la turbine et les faibles vitesses (jusqu'à 50 000 tr/min) du turbocompresseur permettent un équilibrage précis de la cartouche sur ce banc".
