Order pickers

An order picker is a kind of warehousing equipment, a type of a pallet stacker designed for lifting not only the goods, but also a worker to a specified height.

In fact, the order picker is a specific variation of a self-propelled pallet stacker or a reach truck, whose main distinguishing constructive feature is the moving part of the hoisting system. In this case, not only the pallet forks, but the whole platform with an operator on it is lifted (if there is an operator's cab - the operator's cab is lifted). This is necessary in order to perform hand stacking on the shelves of the warehouse or to manually remove specific goods.

When it comes to the maximum altitude to which the platform can be lifted, the order pickers are divided into three main categories: low-level (the height is up to 1.5 meters, this group includes non-lifting horizontal order pickers), medium-level (with the lifting height of 4-5 meters) and high level (the maximum height – up to 12 meters). Some models also allow additionally lifting the forks relative to the main working platform for greater convenience of the operator.
