Mobile cranes: 4007 ads
Mobile crane is a type of construction equipment designed for lifting goods to a predetermined height and moving them. It is a type of cargo jib-type crane mounted on a vehicle chassis.
Mobile cranes have a very broad scope of application - wherever there is a need to move significantly heavy cargo, and most commonly, in construction works and loading-unloading operations. Although mobile cranes are not as good as stationary hoisting cranes in weight capacity, their mobility, maneuverability and versatility are the reason for a consistently high demand for this type of construction equipment.
Weight capacity of cranes ranges from several tons to dozens (and in some cases even hundreds) of tons, and, accordingly, different models of cranes can be mounted both on the frame of conventional trucks (with different number of axles and different axle arrangement) and on a special truck-type chassis. To achieve the required stability during operation, mobile cranes are often equipped with outriggers (external supports).
Depending on the model, the mobile crane may be a jib-type crane (with telescopic or lattice (openwork) boom) or a mast crane, as well as have various working radius and boom outreach. If it is necessary to increase the working height and the covered area, some booms of mobile cranes may be extended with the use special inserted sections and jibs. The function of the grabbing device may be performed, depending on the task, by a hook block or by a grab bucket. The cranes with drilling nozzles are also worth mentioning.
